Belzona Products Used: Belzona 4000 Series (e.g., Belzona 4311, Belzona 4341)
Project Description:
A chemical facility was dealing with severe erosion and chemical attack in one of its critical trough and sump areas. Prolonged exposure to aggressive chemicals had damaged the surface, leading to safety concerns, reduced containment integrity, and increased maintenance costs.
DBR was brought in to rebuild and resurface the damaged areas using Belzona 4000 series materials, known for their exceptional chemical resistance and durability. The repair involved rebuilding the degraded substrate, then applying a topcoat of Belzona 4311 or 4341 to create a seamless, long-lasting barrier against chemical exposure.
Because of the customer’s strict timeline, the entire repair was completed during a short outage window, with minimal disruption to operations. The fast-curing properties of Belzona materials enabled the trough and sump to be returned to full service quickly, meeting the plant’s tight schedule without sacrificing performance.
This project showcases how Belzona solutions provide rapid, effective, and long-lasting protection in even the harshest environments—delivering both safety and savings to critical infrastructure.
