Project Description:
This storage tank had suffered significant internal damage due to long-term exposure to aggressive contents, leading to corrosion, pitting, and compromised containment. Replacement would have required substantial investment and extended downtime—neither of which was ideal for the customer’s operations.
Instead, DBR provided a cost-effective repair solution using a Belzona protective coating system. After proper surface preparation and substrate repair, the interior of the tank was lined with a high-performance Belzona coating, forming a seamless, chemical-resistant barrier designed to withstand the harsh service conditions.
The project was completed with minimal disruption and in a fraction of the time compared to a full tank replacement. The tank was returned to service quickly, extending its usable life and saving the customer significant capital expenditure.
This project highlights how Belzona solutions can restore and protect critical assets, delivering long-term performance at a fraction of the cost of replacement.
